I’m a Postdoctoral Associate in the Social Science Division at NYU Abu Dhabi. Before joining NYUAD, I earned my doctorate degree in Sociology in August 2024. I earned my master's in Sociology at Cornell University in 2022 and my bachelor's in Sociology at Yonsei University in 2016. 

My research broadly focuses on how decisions around family formation and family life shape gender inequality in the labor market and household. Currently, I'm working on three lines of research - 1) family and gender disparities in self-employment, 2) the intersection of labor market and fertility decisions, 3) the transition to parenthood and its implications on gender disparities in the labor market, and 4) other key topics around gender disparities.
